Synchrotron Radiation Beamlines

The Harima site of the Kansai Photon Science Institute maintains a collection of specialised experimental stations at several beamlines at the SPring-8 synchrotron radiation facility, and also operates two of these beamlines.
Synchrotron radiation experiments and computational science are used to promote research and development into the analysis and evaluation of properties such as the structure, quality, and functional expressions of materials, including those relevant to energy and the environment - hydrogen storage materials being a leading example.
