1st QST International Symposium "Quantum Life Science" -The pathbreaking life-scientists with quantum eyes and hands-の画像

The symposium is to address the current movements to establish the new research domain, quantum life science, by integrating quantum science and technology and life science. To that end, distinguished scientists over the world will give suggestive lectures and provoke farther discussions afterward. The “Joshikai”, the parallel event of the symposium, aims to promote women’s entry to science and technology. Japanese female high school students will have discussions with women scientists and engineers about the career path.

In April 2016, QST was established as the only Japan’s national institute which undertakes research and development in the field of quantum science and technology, including quantum-beam technologies and radiological medicine. The new scientific concept “quantum life science” has been raised as one of the essential targets of QST through cooperation between the quantum engineers and the biologists in concert with the global trend in the related fields. QST feels imminent need for exploring this inspiring research field and for opening up the new research frontier.

Your attendance would be greatly welcome.
