On May 22nd, His Excellency Mr. Khaled Omran Sqait Sarhan ALAMERI, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Japan, paid a visit to QST. He viewed the New Particle Therapy Research Facilities of National Institute of Radiological Sciences after receiving an explanation from QST members about the benefits of the charged particle therapy and the results of treatment, in addition to the outline of QST.
The Ambassador expressed a strong agreement to “harmonious diversity through science and technology as a common language”, which is a QST’s fundamental principle, as mentioning the current state of UAE where people with different nationalities, diverse religious and cultural backgrounds live together. Also, he seemed deeply impressed by the effectiveness and advancement of charged particle therapy, and the QST’s approach to zero cancer death through the development of “quantum scalpel”. Additionally, he expressed a strong willingness to build a mutually beneficial and sustainable relationship such as through human resource exchange. His visit was meaningful for QST.
