Detecting concrete internal defects at high speed

We are developing the technology to quickly detect defects on the inside of concrete with lasers. In Japan, which has a large number of tunnels, the aging of the tunnels has become a social problem. By using a laser, we can detect concrete internal defects in a short period of time remotely and by non-contact.

By vibrating the tunnel concrete wall with irradiation of a ”vibrational excitation laser" and by detecting unusual vibrations due to internal defects with the "measurement laser", we get the defect information of the internal concrete as an image.

The development of a non-invasive blood glucose level sensor

As applied laser research, we are developing a non-invasive blood glucose level palm-sized sensor by integrating advanced solid-state lasers and optical parametric oscillation technology.

No need of blood sampling, no sticking with a needle. It is possible to measure the blood glucose level with the touch of a finger.
