Abstract

​A joint research group led by Team Leader ISHIWATA Hitoshi of the Institute for Quantum Life Science, National Institutes for Quantum Science and Technology (QST) , who also serves as a Designated Associate Professor at Chiba University, together with Professor YANAI Nobuhiro of The University of Tokyo, has successfully measured microscopic temperature temperature distribution inside living cells using a molecular quantum nanosensors. 

The study findings were published in the journal Science Advances on April 29, 2026(UTC).
