QST (former NIRS) have abundant experience of medical care for victims of radiological/nuclear accidents as the national central institute of REM. In order to share the latest knowledge and our experience of REM, we have conducted many international workshops and training courses on REM since 2001. Many international participants from countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Latin America have studied REM at our institute.

Most of our training courses aim to train core members of medical professionals in REM who will be a trainer in each country in future. Through this “train the trainer” course, it is also intended to assist each participating country to enhance its human development of REM as well as the framework of preparedness and response to radiological emergencies.
