Synchrotron Radiation Research Center

The Harima site of the Kansai Institute for Photon Science, located at SPring-8, boasts several highly-specialized experimental stations at a number of beamlines, two of which are contracted to QST. Synchrotron radiation techniques, backed up by computational science, are used for research such as the analysis and evaluation of the structure, quality, and functional mechanisms of materials relevant to energy and the environment, typified by hydrogen storage materials.
