The Rokkasho Fusion Institute organizes several events to promote greater interactions among staff members and their families. The annual BBQ party is one of them. This was the 9th annual BBQ party held at Hayagake Lakeside Park in Mutsu-city on 18 June. 65 people joined and enjoyed the party under a clear blue sky. Other than BBQ, we had tempura, roast beef, home-made dishes, and dessert. More than 10 children also joined and had nice time playing suikawari, a Japanese game to split a watermelon with a stick while blindfolded.
