Committee on Atomic and Molecular Data
A&M data experts' committee, consisting of experts from JAEA, universities, and other research institutions, was organized under the fusion research committee of JAEA in order to evaluate A&M data for controlled fusion research and development. In the committee, current status and current issues relevant to fusion research are discussed to extend data coverage of the databases for particle-material interaction, atomic collision, and atomic structure as comprehensive as possible.
Activities on A&M data for fusion have also been carried out in the National Institute of Fusion Science. Mutual information exchange is undertaken periodically in order for research subjects to be independent of one another.
