Nuclear Photonics 2027 Logo

Welcome

The 6th International Conference on Nuclear Photonics will be held from September 27 to October 1, 2027, in Nara, Japan.

Nuclear Photonics 2027 is part of a biennial conference series dedicated to advancing nuclear science and its applications through photon-based technologies. The conference aims to bring together researchers from diverse fields—including high‑intensity lasers, gamma‑ray beam systems, nuclear physics, and nuclear engineering—to share their expertise and latest research findings. Our goal is to foster an environment where unexpected intersections of ideas can spark innovative and groundbreaking research initiatives.

Topics

  • Fundamental nuclear science and photon-based spectroscopy
  • High-intensity laser-plasma interaction and laser driven particle generation
  • Laser Compton scattering gamma-ray sources and applications
  • Medical applications using laser-driven particles and photons
  • Industrial applications such as imaging using high-power laser and photons
  • Isotope-specific, nuclear materials detection and management
  • Plasma nuclear physics in stars and laser-generated plasmas
  • Nuclear Physics, hadron physics and astrophysics with photons
  • Nuclear astrophysics and stellar nucleosynthesis such as r-process and p-process
  • Nuclear clocks to measure presicely short and long time and quantum control
  • Strong field QED and nonlinear QED phenomena

The scientific program of Nuclear Photonics 2027 will consist of four types of presentations:

  • Keynote presentations
  • Invited talks (selected from submitted abstracts)
  • Contributed oral presentations (selected from submitted abstracts)
  • Poster presentations (selected from submitted abstracts)
The poster session will be held during an evening event, and posters will remain on display throughout the conference. Posters presented by students and early‑career researchers will be evaluated by a panel of judges for the Nuclear Photonics Awards.
