Q-LEAP

Flagship Project
Development of innovative sensor systems by highly sophisticated control of solid quantum sensors

We participate in the Flagship Project (Technology Area: Quantum Measurement and Sensing) of the "Flagship Program for Quantum Leap in Optics and Quantum Leap (Q-LEAP)" of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). We are working on the development of innovative sensor systems through advanced control of solid-state quantum sensors.

Moonshot Goal 6
Realization of a fault-tolerant universal quantum computer that will revolutionize economy, industry, and security by 2050.

We participate in the "Realization of a fault-tolerant universal quantum computer that will revolutionize economy, industry, and security by 2050", which is Goal 6 of the Moonshot-type R&D project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST). Professor Hideo Kosaka of Yokohama National University is the project manager for "Development of Quantum Interfaces for Building Quantum Computer Networks" (research period: FY2020 - FY2025 (R.2 - R.7)).
